Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a video speech on the 23rd local time to celebrate Defender’s Day of the Russian Motherland.
In his speech, Putin pointed out that a modern and efficient army and navy are the guarantee of Russia’s national security and sovereignty and the guarantee of the country’s stable development and future. Therefore, Russia will continue to give priority to strengthening its national defense capabilities. Putin stressed that Russia will develop the quality of all components of the armed forces in a balanced way and improve the training system of the troops.
Putin said that Russia will continue to equip its troops with the most advanced equipment, including new attack systems, reconnaissance and communication equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles and artillery systems. Putin said that Russian industry is rapidly increasing the production of all conventional weapons series, and advanced weapons of the army, navy and air force are gradually being put into mass production.
Putin stressed that Russia will, as always, strengthen the "trinity" nuclear force. The first batch of new heavy-duty missile "sarmat" launchers will enter combat readiness this year. Russia will continue to mass-produce Dagger airborne hypersonic missiles, and will begin to deliver Zircon sea-based hypersonic missiles on a large scale.
